This is my Mom. In the beginning of last month, I called the paramedics because she wasn’t able to stand up. She had been having flu like symptoms for a while, but we thought nothing of it. When we arrived at the ER, the doctor examined her and told us that she had somehow acquired a flesh-eating bacteria that was gangrenous, and he said that it was very possible she wasn’t going to live through the night. My Mom endured three emergency surgeries that night, and has pulled through with amazing strength. It’s been almost a month now, and she’s still in the hospital—undergoing reconstructive surgery as I write this.
She doesn’t know how beautiful she is, she doesn’t understand how much she adds to this world. Her goofy sense of humour, her wit, her love, and her hugs, they all saved my life so many times, and brightened the lives of others.
I’ve never written anything like this before, but would anyone mind reblogging this to show your support, and to tell her and show her how much she’s loved and appreciated? I know it would mean the world to her.

With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of His calling, and that by His power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

spiritualinspiration:

With every act of obedience, there is a blessing. When God asks you to do something that seems difficult — forgive somebody that really hurt you, walk away from a friend that is polluting your life, let go of an addiction— it takes a major effort on your part. But you can be assured that a major blessing will follow. There will be a significant shift in your life for the better. God always rewards obedience.

Just no. NO. I will not believe anymore lies. I will not allow my joy and peace to be stolen another minute. I am the Lord’s beloved daughter. I am His. I am who He says I am. He’s forgiven me!!!!!! I am not my past. I am not my mistakes. My identity is found in Christ alone! It’s time.

When life throws rocks at you, and when the storm is raging, don’t panic. Don’t grow impatient. Don’t scoot. Don’t run away. Don’t stop hoping. Don’t stop praying. Don’t stop believing. Don’t do things on your own. Just sit tight, and trust. Know that in your most helpless and desperate situation, you’ve done the best that you can. You’ve presented it to Jesus, and He won’t ignore that.
However, what if He tells you what He told His mother? He says, “My time has not yet come”?
Disappointing, isn’t it? We expect the fast. We want the instant. With a snap of our fingers, upon saying ‘Amen’ to our prayers, we already want to see the answer. Unconsciously, we think that Jesus is a genie that will give us all we want with just a slight rub with a lamp.
Well, He can do that. He can satisfy our impatient nature. Time does not make any difference to Him. He is able to do everything. Our God is omnipotent and all mighty. What if God makes you wait, though? What if your answer is taking long? What will you do?
“Do whatever He tells you.”
Trust Him. That’s it. When our answer is taking long, it doesn’t mean that God is absent. No. He’s still there, and He’s talking to us. He’s telling us what to do. Sometimes, even if it seems irrelevant, we still have to obey. Why? Because He’s God. He knows what is best for us. He knows the future, and He is the One who designs everything so all will work together.
Look at the servants. What did filling huge pots with water have anything to do with wine? Still, they did what Jesus said. Who would think of letting the master of the feast taste water in time of the crisis? Still, they trusted that Jesus had something in mind. They did it. That’s trust, beloved.
When God wants you to continue in the ministry. Stay there.
When God wants you to give that amount. Don’t hesitate.
It seems foolish and impractical, but if it is what God wants, know that His ways are far above human wisdom. God won’t lead you to your downfall. He will never do that.
Respond to Him immediately, beloved, and you’ll be like the servants. You’ll witness something that is so great it has never crossed your imagination. You’ll receive a blessing that will not only satisfy your needs, but will also have you marveling at who your Savior really is. You will be experiencing a miracle.
Your obedience will not be in vain. Your waiting will be nothing compared to the best that God will give you. That’s how great God is. Don’t ever underestimate Him.

Whenever your heart starts to be anxious about the future, preach to your heart and say, ‘Heart, who do you think you are to be afraid of the future and nullify the promise of God? No, heart, I will not exalt myself with anxiety. I will humble myself in peace and joy as I trust this precious and great promise of God— He cares for me.’
